Afrasiab

[not an author]  In the Necronomicon, Abdul Alhazred mentions this great Tartar warrior/king who travelled with demons down the river Oxus.  Lovecraft found the character in Poe's  'Premature Burial.'  Poe, mostly likely, got the character from Firdusi's great Persian epic, 'Shah-Nameh.'
