Aspinwell, Ernest B.

Distant Chicago cousin of Randolph Carter (ten years his senior) and the lawyer who fought Ward Phillips and Etienne-Laurent de Marigny over the estate of Randolph Carter after his disappearance.  A white-haired, apoplectic-faced, side-whiskered, portly man, he was in de Marigny's house in New Orleans when Carter reappeared.  He died when he was faced with what had happened to Carter.
