Catullus, (-)

Gaius Valerius Catullus, (84?-54? B.C.) a Roman poet of the first century B.C., was read by Delapore seeking information on hideous rites of the Eastern god Atys. The reference is to poem 63, the "Attis" poem, a first person account of Attis's self mutilation in during rites of his mother/lover Cybele.
