Ilek-Vad, The King ofThe King of Ilek-Vad comes from his far realm once a year, in a golden palanquin, to the city of Kiran on the banks of the Oukranos River in Dreamworld to pray to the god of Oukranos. Citizens claim to have heard strange music as the moon shines on the temple, but no one except the King of Ilek-Vad can say what that music is, for only he is allowed to enter the temple. It is claimed by Ward Phillips that Randolph Carter became King of Ilek-Vad after his disappearance.
