Jermyn, Bt., Sir Robert

b. 1781. d. 1854.  An anthropologist of note, the son of Philip Jermyn was a tall, handsome man, a scholar seeking to prove his grandfather's claims.  His tenure rebuilt much of the family's reputation.  In 1815, he married the daughter of the seventh Viscount Brightholme and had three children.  The oldest and youngest where horribly deformed and hidden away.  Sir Robert was visited in 1852 by Samuel Seaton and went mad, killing Seaton, and his own three children (though the middle son Nevil protected his own 2 year old son, Alfred).  Sir Robert was confined and died of apoplexy two years later.
