Olney, Epenetus

The owner of a tavern opposite Curwen's house off the Towne street in Providence in the days before the American Revolution. His signboard (a gaudy crown) was erected after he took to calling his tavern the Crown Coffee House.  (Ed Note: in the 1650's, Coffee Houses came into fashion in England and the colonies)
