Pickman, Richard Upton

(ghoul) Morbid painter from Salem who moved to Boston and rented studio in North End. Painted "Ghoul Feeding," "The Loss on a Subway Accident," and "Homes, Lowell, and Longfellow lie buried in Mount Auburn." Art club member with Thurber, Reid, Minot, and Bosworth. Dropped out of sight. In his ghoul form, after his disappearance from Boston, he lost much of his human characteristics but was a companion of Carter's in Dreamworld. Together with Carter and an army of ghouls, defeated the moon-beasts.
