Roulet, Etienne

A Huguenot who, with his wife, moved to the colonies from Caude, France in 1686 after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes.  After unsuccessfully living near East Greenwich, settled in Providence on a section of John Throckmorton's land.  He was a clerk in the warehouse of Pardon Tillinghast's Wharf.  It was Roulet who established a family graveyard on the property that was never moved and upon which the ill-fated Harris house was built in 1763.
