CONTINUED

Continued is a convention from live teleplay scripts and film production scripts which have partial page revisions. Some writers have used them in screenplays but it really wastes space and breaks the flow of the script. Readers know that if there is not a Scene Closer the scene continues. It is used in specific cases but at the start and end of every page where a scene continues onto the next page.

Where you want to use a "CONTINUED" is when a passage of description or a character's speech continues onto the next page. Or a passage of description or character's speech is so long that it must all appear on the next page leaving a large blank area at the bottom of the previous page. If this happens, you want to put a continued on the bottom of the short page.

More will be said about this in Page Cutting later.
