ADVENTURE COMICS

Based on the rising cult following for the film "Re-Animator," around 1991 a number of companies began jumping on the HPL bandwagon.  While rival Malibu released an illustrated book of the HPL story, Adventure Comics grabbed the comic rights to film "Re-Animator."  Dell had done this back in 1966 with the Lovecraft based "Die, Monster, Die."  While Dell didn't repeat the feat, Adventure kept going with a series of colorful comics based on HPL stories.
